My name is Suzanne Schreve. I am a Jungian psychotherapist and Sandplay therapist (i.t.), a writer, and co-founder of the creative platform BlackSalt. I offer psychotherapy in Dutch and English, both in person and online. I work with men and women, with a particular focus on women moving through defining transitions in their lives.
My work is grounded in the feminine principle of psychotherapy and draws on over fifteen years of combined experience, practice and research in behavioural neuroscience, ecology and Jungian psychology.
Rather than seeing therapy as a straight path towards a predetermined goal, the feminine principle makes room for what arises along the way. It means staying with an experience before trying to change or resolve it, and remaining curious about where it may lead. Body, imagination, feeling and thought all belong to this process, each offering a different way of knowing.
The question becomes less how do we get from here to there? and more what is asking for our attention?
We are layered and many-sided, shaped by what is deeply personal and by patterns and experiences that are shared, inherited and, at times, universal. Jungian work allows these different layers to unfold without deciding too quickly what they mean or where they should lead.
As we attend to them, the boundaries of who we understand ourselves to be may begin to widen. We find ourselves in relationship not only with our own inner life, but with other people, the more-than-human world, and the larger web of life to which we belong.
WORK & SERVICES
-
JUNGIAN PSYCHOANALYSIS
Jungian psychoanalysis is a dynamic form of therapy - a personal and deeply human process that works on different levels of psyche and body in order to facilitate change.

-
SANDPLAY THERAPY
Sandplay therapy is a gentle, non-verbal and creative form of therapy for adults and children.
It uses a sand tray and miniatures through which one can express stories, emotions and inner images that are difficult to put into words or reach.
Working in the sand makes these inner experiences tangible.

-
ART & LITERATURE
A living library of collected essays, poems, artworks & books.
This collection is a feast for those who feel passionate about the intersection of mysticism, science, art and flourishing in a more-than-human world.

CLIENT REVIEWS
“After engaging in several forms of therapy, including treatment within mental health services, my work with Suzanne was the first to reach the depth I had been seeking. Her Jungian approach is complemented by clarity, attentiveness, and genuine care.
— Client, 36“For the first time in Jungian analysis, I felt my process was truly given back to me. By being deeply seen—and challenged—I discovered I was much further along than I had believed. The way Suzanne consistently returned my projections to me did not make the work easier, but it made it real. That shift changed how I see myself, and how I take responsibility for my inner life.”
— Client 47“During analysis, my panic attacks subsided. It is difficult to recognise the patterns in which you have been stuck for years, and striking how rapidly insight can sometimes emerge. Other issues took longer to acknowledge, but Suzanne guided me gently toward the most vulnerable places.”
